PWW10 Black Moss Reservoirs, Barley, Nelson

2hrs: 3.5 miles (5.6km)

This walk takes you along gravel lanes and quiet roads past two reservoirs with great views of Pendle hill and the surrounding countryside. The reservoirs and surrounding area provide a haven for a variety of birds from tufted ducks to curlew.

PWW11 Barley Green to Thorney Holme, Nelson

1 hour 30 minutes: 2.5 miles (4 km)

Fantastic views over Pendle hill and the surrounding area dominate this walk. The outward track has a short steep and bumpy section but then levels out and the rest of the way is easy going on quiet lanes and a riverside track. There is great blackberry picking on the outward route in autumn.

PWW8 Walls Castle Roman Baths, Ravenglass

1 hour: 1.5 miles (2.4 km)

Ravenglass is the only coastal town within the Lake District National Park and is a beautiful spot at the junction of three rivers. This easy walk can be reached by steam train and takes you past the ruins of a Roman bath house. The route also takes you along the shore of a tidal estuary so check tide times before you leave.

PWW13 Hollingworth Lake , Littleborough, Rochdale

1 hour 30 minutes: 2.75 miles (5.4 km)

This easy walk takes you around Hollingworth lake passing a nature reserve on route. The paths are broad and level through out making it a great walk for all pushchairs and perfect for toddlers too.

PWW12 Sefton Park, Liverpool

1 hour: 1.5 miles (2.4 km)

Sefton Park a lovely green space in the heart of Liverpool with curving pathways, lakes, streams and ornamental garden features. In spring, daffodils and bluebells add a splash of colour and in summer the avenues of trees provide welcome shade. This is an easy walk along smooth paths taking in all the main features of the park.

PWW14 Rivington Country Park , Horwich

1 hour 30 minutes : 2.75 miles (4.4 km)

This is a beautiful country park which incorporates the Lever Estate. The walk takes you through woodland passing a castle, ancient barns and the reservoir on route. The tracks are broad and relatively easy going throughout.

PWW9 Dalegarth to Eskdale Green, Eskdale

2 hours: 3 miles (4.8km)

This is a lovely walk, along the banks of the River Esk, which incorporates a trip on a steam train to make a really fun day out. This beautiful region of the Lake District is a hidden gem away from the main tourist areas.

PWW17 Broadfell, Orton, Tebay

1 hour 30 minutes : 2.75 miles (4.4 km)

A fantastic walk that starts at a chocolate factory, takes you past an ancient church, through farmland and finally finishes at a children's playground. This walk is great all year round but is only suitable for single ATP's and dogs must be kept on leads across the farmland.

PWW19 Skelwith Force, Skelwith Bridge, Ambleside

45 mins: 1.2 miles (2km)

A short amble through woodland to a lovely waterfall. Good gravel paths all the way with some moderate slopes and the route is suitable for sturdy strollers. There is a short section on a main road, otherwise the woodland paths are great for little ones.

PWW16 Lammerside Castle, Kirkby Stephen

1 hour 30 mins: 2.5 miles (4 km)

A cross-country ramble along the beautiful Mallerstang valley past a collection of historic buildings. A combination of field paths and paved bridleways with great views of the surrounding fells. Field paths are uneven and can be muddy, but wide enough for double ATPs. Dogs must be controlled around livestock.

PWW20 Grin Low & Solomon's Temple , Buxton

1 hour: 1.75 miles (2.8 km)

Walk up through peaceful woodland to a Victorian folly, a fantastic viewpoint giving impressive panoramic views over the Peak District on a clear day. There is one stile to lift over, an uphill climb and a few awkward tree roots but the fine views make it well worth the effort!
