PWNW36: Greenfield Heritage Park, Holywell

45 mins : 1.25 miles (2 km)

Containing woodland, industrial heritage, lakes and historic monuments, this heritage park makes a great day out. Suitable for all buggies, our route takes you round the main features accessible on wheels. Entry to the park is free, but for a small price you can visit the farm park or buy ice cream in the café!

PWNW37: Breakwater Country Park, Holyhead

1 hour : 1.5 miles (3 km)

Walk along stunning coastal scenery while taking in the industrial heritage around the quarries that supplied stone for the 2 ½ mile long Holyhead breakwater. Stunning views and a picnic spot by a duck pond! Paths good but can be narrow and exposed.

PWNW38: Penrhos Coastal Park, Holyhead

1 hour : 1.5 miles (3 km)

Penrhos Coastal Park is a 200 acre park on the coast east of Holyhead with a stunning coastline and woodland paths meandering past pools and follies, which were all once part of the Penrhos Estate. This is an easy walk along gravel tracks and woodland paths, and there's a gorgeous beach half way round! Suitable for strollers, but gates are too narrow for double buggies.

PWNW40: Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, Llangollen

1 hour : 1.75 miles (3 km)

This walk has been temporarily withdrawn due to safety concerns for toddlers on the aqueduct as the railings are widely spaced

Stroll along the towpath of the Llangollen Canal and across the famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct as it carries the canal high above the river Dee . A flat, smooth path which gets very narrow as it crosses the aqueduct. You need a head for heights to do this walk, and toddlers must be strapped in as the 127' drop is poorly protected..

PWNW44: Lake Vyrnwy Sculptures

45 mins : 1 mile (1.2km)

Lake Vyrnwy is a Victorian reservoir in a spectacular, remote setting deep in the Berwyn Mountains . This is an easy walk, suitable for all around a surreal sculpture park in woodland at the foot of the towering stone dam. International art, cafes, picnic spots and a playground – who could ask for more?

PWNW48: Coed Moel Famau, Ruthin/Mold

1 hour : 1.5 miles (3 km)

A gorgeous walk through mixed woodland in the Clwydian Range , an area of outstanding natural beauty and deserving of its status. The paths are excellent throughout and suitable for strollers, but the walk has some sections of prolonged uphill pushing and is tough for its grade.

PWNW42: Deganwy to Llandudno

2 hours : 4 miles (6.5 km)

This is a fantastic coastal walk – flat all the way with sea views to Snowdonia and Anglesey. Suitable for all on excellent paths and alongside brilliant beaches which are fun in summer and atmospheric in winter. Definitely one for the little ones! There is the option to cut the length by returning on public transport.

PWNW41: Great Orme,Llandudno

2 hours : 4 miles (6.5 km)

Take in the views and history on the top of Great Orme – the limestone headland jutting out into the Irish Sea from Llandudno. Stunning views all the way and the summit complex offers a pub and café. Rough paths, so ATPs only, and there are 3 kissing gates to lift over (avoidable via short-cut). Can also be done from the tram or cable car!

PWNW43 Chirk Castle Estate Trail

1 hour: 1.8 miles (2.5km)

A walk around the estate park of Chirk Castle, through woodland and landscaped fields with views of the countryside and the castle itself. Paths are open April to September and rough in places so ATPs only, and there are 2 obstacles requiring lifting. Dogs on leads, please.

PWNW45 Horseshoe Falls, Llangollen

2 hours : 3.5 miles (6 km)

A saunter along Telford 's Llangollen canal to Horseshoe Falls. Lovely mountain scenery, views of steam trains and boats and of course ducks to feed. A level walk along a good towpath, suitable for all pushchairs with refreshments and a motor museum along the way.

PWNW47 Llandygai Woodland, Bangor

2 hours : 4 miles (6.5 km)

A gentle stroll along a riverside path that was once a slate railway. Through lovely woodland, this walk is easily accessible from town and suitable for strollers as well as little cyclists!
