Breathtaking clifftop walks, rugged open country and some of the finest coastline in Britain. Mind you, make sure you do get a pastie, oh, and a scone with jam and clotted cream! (Glass of cider anyone?!)

EASY ACCESS TRAILS |
Easy access trails are starting to appear across Britain, so here is a selection in the South West. These are official trails and have not necessarily been tried and tested but should be suitable for wheels. |
Haldon Forest Park, Exeter - several trails for pushchairs and wheelchairs including a sensory trail.
The Camel Trail from the Bodmin to Padstow offers 11 miles of accessible trail through lovely countryside for pushchairs, cyclists, wheelchairs or just walkers

A great walk down through fields to the Jurassic coast. The route takes you to a stunning cliff quarry and the fantastic coastal views make this a great spot for a picnic. This walk is graded as hard as there are some steep rocky paths and two stiles. |

A beautiful but strenuous walk that is perfect for a clear spring or summers day. The walk takes you uphill through woodland to a high level path that gives spectacular views across the Teign valley, Castle Drogo and Dartmoor . This walk is only suitable for single all terrain pushchairs. |

A lovely riverside and woodland walk that follows the route of a dismantled railway line. This linear walk is perfect for toddlers especially after wet weather as there are an abundance of puddles to splash in!

A challenging walk in the Quantock Hills with fantastic views of the Somerset coast. The walk takes you along a tranquil wooded valley (combe) and across three fords before heading up hill to the open heathland that is characteristic of this area. |

This walk takes you through a nature reserve and area of outstanding natural beauty on the south Devon coast. The route takes you to three viewpoints within the reserve which show the astounding diversity of the area and its wildlife. |

A great walk, with fine coastal views, that takes you to the magnificent Dartmouth castle and into the town of Dartmouth if you have time. The walk is suitable for all terrain pushchairs and can be combined with a ferry trip in the summer months. |

An easy walk on surfaced paths that is fantastic any time of the year. The route affords spectacular views of dominating rock formations as well as along the coast and across the Bristol Channel . Take care with toddlers when undertaking this walk as it follows a steep unprotected cliff edge. |

A lovely walk high above the coastal plain at the Devon/Somerset border, with fantastic views, Elizabethan beacons and, if you're lucky, ponies! Good paths, but rough and can be muddy, so ATPs only. |

A stunning but challenging walk along the banks of the River Barle in the heart of Exmoor. The route crosses England 's largest clapper bridge and passes wonderful riverside picnic spots. This walk is only suitable for single all terrain pushchairs. Be aware that the bridge cannot be crossed in times of flood. |

A fun walk suitable for any season with plenty to keep kids and adults entertained. As well as great scenery and ducks to feed the route also contains brass rubbing points (don't forget your paper and wax crayons) and a series of physical and mental challenges. |

A pleasant walk from the picturesque village of Cawsand to the stunning viewpoint, Penlee Point. The route takes you through a sheltered nature reserve and to an ancient grotto. This route is a perfect year-round walk for all terrain pushchairs. |
