Our Walks in Scotland |
|
I know, Scotland is too big to lump in one area but it will be split up into more manageable areas once we've explored a bit more and bullied some contributors into going walking! Highlands and islands, glens and coast and of course geology to die for....Scotland's got it all! Oh, and apparently there's something called whisky...

EASY ACCESS TRAILS
|
Easy access trails are starting to appear across Britain, so here is a selection in Scotland. These are official trails and have not necessarily been tried and tested but should be suitable for wheels. |
Galloway Forest Park has the Killoughtree all abilities trail - short, easy and suitable for all.
Penningham Pond near Newton Stewart offers an award winning path around a pond in attractive woodland.
Taynish Mill near Tayvallich is a 400m trail to a ruined mill on the shores of Loch Sween, part of a stunning nature reserve.
Details of other routes in Scotland suitable for wheelchairs can be found on the Walking on Wheels Trust website. |
