PWD1 Sgwd Gwladus, Pontneddfechan

FREE TRIAL!!

2 hours: 3 miles (5km)

A pleasant riverside amble through beautiful woodland to visit one of the many waterfalls in this river system. Good going along the route and the path is suitable for all pushchairs up to the half way picnic spot (still a lovely walk!). An ATP is needed to access the waterfall and there is a flight of 12 steps to negotiate after the picnic spot.

PWD2 Newcastle Emlyn Castle and Riverside

30 mins : 0.6 mile (1 km)

An easy walk around a loop of the River Teifi taking in the ruined castle on your way and with picturesque views throughout. Picnic tables, grassy areas for playing and gravel paths suitable for all pushchairs. There are inclines at the start and end of the walk, and river banks and drops are unprotected.

PWD8 Ynys Lochtyn, Llangrannog

1 hr 45 mins : 2 miles (3.5 km)

This is a clifftop walk with dramatic coastal and sea views along good paths. The going is steep at the start, and the grass can get long in places, so an ATP is advised. It has the usual cliff hazards of big drops, which are unprotected at the end of the walk, but there's a gorgeous beach and pubs in Llangrannog.

PWD12 Nant yr Arian Woodland Walk, Ponterwyd

1 hr 30 mins : 1.5 miles (2.5 km)

A tough walk through woodland and around lakes in Nant yr Arian Forest, but well worth the effort for the breathtaking views from the ridge top. Paths are variable and awkward in places with some steep sections, but if you time it right you can watch red kites being fed!

PWD5 Teifi Marshes River and Woodland Walk, Cardigan

1 hr : 1.3 miles (2 km)

This is a pleasant walk in the Teifi Marshes Nature Reserve combining parts of their waymarked walks into a pushchair-friendly route taking in woodland, marshland and the riverside before stopping for a cuppa in the excellent café! The paths are variable and there is a short steep section.

PWD6 Teifi Marshes, Cardigan

45 mins : 1 mile (1.2 km)

This is an easy walk in the Teifi Marshes Nature Reserve along parts of waymarked easy access routes. Take in woodland, marshes and the riverside before having a cuppa in the café. The surface is wheelchair friendly but there are inclines and unfortunately the kissing gate at the start is too narrow for double buggies

PWD3 Cwm Degwel, St Dogmael's, Cardigan

2 hrs : 2.75 miles (4km)

A lovely but hard walk along the side of a wooded valley high above the Teifi Estuary. Steep in places, the paths are good, if narrow in places, and the views are fantastic!! Definitely ATPs only.

PWD11 Pwll Gwaelod, Newport

45 mins : 1.3 miles (2 km)

An easy walk to visit the lovely bay of Pwll Gwaelod on the north Pembrokeshire coast. A good, flat path suitable for all buggies and wheelchairs with the reward of a pub and beach at the half way point!

PWD4 Dinefwr Castle, Llandeilo

1 hour : 2 miles (3.3km)

A woodland walk to a mediaeval Welsh castle, high above the river Tywi. Lovely views over the valley and good paths all the way. The path to the castle is steep and the castle walls are unprotected, so keep children under strict control. No dogs in the Bog Wood section of the walk (detour possible).

PWD10 Foel Eryr, Preselis

45 mins : 1.3 miles (2 km)

Bag a summit in the Preseli Mountains with relatively little climbing! With only 64m from car park to trig point, this short, steep climb could be your baby's first mountain. This walk is worth the effort for the unbelievable views across Pembrokeshire and the Preselis. Grassy path all the way, uneven in places but it can get boggy in wet weather. Pushchair leash essential.
